You asked for it, you got it! Recycled Art now has a classifieds section for recycled artists to promote their art for free.
If you are looking to sell or promote your recycled art or eco-friendly event, visit the RECYCLED ART CLASSIFIEDS. We’re just doing a soft launch right now while we are populating the database but once there are some ads in there we will promote it and do an official launch and press release. Hopefully this will help you sell some of your amazing and creative art.

Diane Kurzyna, aka Ruby Re-Usable, just finished installing Another White Trash Wedding at the Tacoma Contemporary Urban Art Installation Windows at the old Woolworth’s building in downtown Tacoma, WA. It is on view 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, until June 13, 2009. More info and pics HERE

On Friday, March 6, 2009 Frame Craft Lampros Gallery will be hosting it’s First Annual Repurposed/Recycled Material Art Show. Several artists will have their sculptures and wall art created using recycled or repurposed materials on display and will be on hand to answer any questions or just to talk about their art.

Artist Uses Recycled CD’s and DVD’s to Create Vibrant Mosaic Art

Harvey Whitcomb uses very unique materials for his art projects; torch-modified CDs & DVDs. He explains that he cuts “the resultant jewel-like material into pieces and make mosaic images of various types. I also work in recycled metals of different types, both embossing or mosaics or embedding the CD/DVD material mentioned above as jewel-like settings in the recycled metal.”
