| Paintbrushes used in the production of molds for concrete statuary. After the brushes are used they are trash unless I quickly create these sculptures and place them in the designs. The material sets up in 7 minutes so there is not much time to create but it is a lot of fun to make something new out of trash. I have many different styles and colors as well as functional mirrors and generic wall art. | |||
| add to favorites | Be a fan of my enchanted garden | $ 7.50 | |
| I picked (no pun intended) this as my one of my Ads because it depicts me as an artist without guessing my style, my into, my thing! I've always been a pack rat, but now.... I work with what some would call the under belly of society, I call them super hero's well scrapers for short. They make a VERY small living off of garbage picking, dumpster diving, picking up a fridge. that someone said they should take, they recycle the different metals, IE. copper pays this much a ton. (well lb.) a ton of copper would be a lot of electrical cords. tin pays this much, aluminum this much and so on.... so they may be corp. drop outs or slackers but there anything but lazy! They work pulling heavy motors out of things, demolition Mobil homes, strip wire, search out metal, follow leads, well you catch my drift. So they barely squeak out enough for everyday living not to mention monthly dues like: rent, utility's, insurance (yeah right) so They have to work double time all the time. In there quest for a living these people are in huge part saving the earth! Scrapers coast to coast save millions of tons of metals from going to the landfills, the metal then gets recycled, which creates jobs for everyone from the scraper, the guy at the scale, the cashier, the sorters, drivers, mechanics, then to all the refinery workers, the distributor's, manufacturers, inventor's, advertisement, well you get my drift! So Because of scraping, & My art has always been more of: out of a "necessity is the mother of invention", RUN WHAT U BRUNG, just cause its a wrench doesn't mean you cant use it as a hammer, I remade dressers into desks, old pink toilets into flower pots etc. AND MY REBELLIOUS "SAVE THE EARTH, WIPE YOUR ASS WITH A VOTING BALLOT" AND HERE'S THE LONG AND SHORT, THE "WHAT YOU BEEN WAITING FOR" THE PUNCH LINE, I'M A HUGE "FAN" OF SCRAPER-SUPER-HERO'S, RECYCLING, RE-USING, RE-FUSING, RE-WORKING, RECLAIMING, RE-NEWING, AND RE LOVING. AND THE BIGGEST "FAN" OF EARTH! Want to read more of my wackiness click here... | I'm a painter and sculptor, I create lamps out of industrial materials which I collect here and there and recycle, as you can see on my website www.brauer.fr "In our modern world, where objects often have a single life, I aim at inventing a new existence for them by diverting them from their initial function. I particularly like the robust appearance of used steel and industrial materials. When I put them together, they start a new life as unique pieces of art, in which each component can tell its own story." | |||

| This piece is very appealing because of its simplicity in material. Its made up entirely of reused rubber and glass. The hanging support is made from recycled tree tie for landscaping, the planters are globes for outdoor lighting, and the are secured using a blown inner tube for a bicycle. | add to favorites | Friendly Creature Feeder | $ 80.00 | |
| Hey everyone I know you love seeing birds and other critters outside your window, but many of us don't want to but the run of the mill feeders on the market. If you are like me you want something that is functional above all, pleasing to the eye, and of course made from recycled materials. This Friendly Feeder is made from a base of old rough cut lumber(that was sliced after weather, to be firewood),some scrap lumber strips for edges, a couple of old bowls and some saved bailing twine. This product is currently in my back yard and it attracts many birds as well as local squirrels. Lets promote happy living to all and continue to hang this for the creatures. www.myspace.com/plantedmind | |||
| add to favorites | Adopt Many Lives, (driftwood/treat jar planter) | $ 300.00 | |
| This wonderful piece is for all of you out there who are doing the great thing in adopting a life. This living art is crafted with driftwood from the Willamette and Mckenzie rivers, as well as the Oregon coast, tied together using scrap hemp and twine. The paintings are on scrap leather and the planters are made from a recycled dog treat jar. The top jar has a hole drilled that drains into the lower lid but I will have to remove plants from jars for shipping out of town. Keep adopting if you can and plant just the lives you would like to nurture with this art. Hang this outside and it will spin in the wind! www.myspace.com/plantedmind | |||
