| Description | Modern, cool and edgy handmade art from Rio de Janeiro artisan Manuel. I met Manuel at a festa and he works hard for a living on the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. I visit Brasil regularly and adore the people and culture of Rio/Brasil and thought I could give back a little by buying some of his work and help out a struggling artist particularly because his work is eco-friendly using these recycled pop-tops-very creative stuff, indeed. These are super high-quality, eco-friendly, strong and durable (with a double reinforced fabric clasp for easy opening and closing) purses straight from the world famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Weighing only 8 oz., with dimensions of 9"x8" and a strap length of 20 inches extending from the top of the purse, they are awesome for every day use, hitting the beach (as modeled by the lovely Carioca, Fernanda) or for nightclubbing. They are truly an intense labor of love using 640 total pop tops per purse and take hours to assemble by hand as you can imagine. Finally, they are finished with a smooth inside lining that matches the threads in either light blue, red or green-just let me know what color you want when you order. Though the gold one is pictured so you can see the inside of the bag, I am currently sold out on it. These are currently being sold in local boutiques for between $60-70 retail, so you save by dealing directly with me.
